  • Independence (4.6%), a premium pale ale by Bristol Beer Factory has been crowned CAMRA's Champion Beer of Britain 2026 at the Cambridge Beer Festival.
  • The Gronant Inn on the outskirts of Prestatyn is closing its doors for good. Closure is due to "structural problems" at the premises, due to a "dilapidation report".
  • In Ruthin, plans were submitted in April to save the historic 15th century Myddelton Arms, St Peter's Square. This will include new kitchen, structural repairs and internal reconfiguration to revitalise the Grade II listed building (Strange and Co).
  • In Prestatyn proposals have been submitted to transform the former "elevate your sole" shoe shop at 170 High Street into a new micro pub - it will be run by Tapps if approved.
  • The Castle Inn at Rhuddlan has reopened.
  • The Three Pigeons at Graigfechan is up for sale.
