See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Dating back to 1695, this former hunting lodge and coaching inn overlooks the Dee Valley. A cosy and comfortable bar area with a log fire is open all day. There are a number of other rooms to accommodate diners and families including a large function room for special events. There is also a small covered and heated courtyard at the rear. The guest beer varies from local or national brewers. Two ensuite guest rooms are available upstairs. This is an ideal place to stay. The pub is a member of Brit Stops (two places).
